This course aims at getting the students acquainted with the general outlines of Classical Sanskrit Literature.

This course will help the students develop a fair idea of the works of great Sanskrit poets.
Students will be able to appreciate the styles and thoughts of individual poets focusing on the poetical, artistic, cultural and historical aspects of their works .This course will enhance competence in chaste classical Sanskrit and give them skills in translation and interpretation of poetic works.
