This course introduces the basics of Computational Linguistics with a special emphasis with Sanskrit. India's unique contribution to the world is the theories of Language Sciences. In this course, we look at the relevance of these language sciences from Information Technology perspective. This course will introduce the following modules a) Segmentation. b) Word Analysers and Generators c) Sentential analyser and generator followed by the introduction to various Resources such as a) Lexical Resources b) Annotated corpus with a focus on Sanskrit and the Indian contribution to the language sciences.
